Time capsule handed over

Students from Five Islands Academy were tasked to choose objects to be included in a specially commissioned time capsule which will be hidden / buried in the new Museum and Cultural Centre on Scilly.

The primary student council selected items including a mobile phone, a Barbie doll, a school dinner menu, a map of the islands, a new set of King Charles Stamps, a Rubik’s cube, a tin of baked beans, a novel by a local author and a model Formula One car. The capsule was handed over to the site manager to be installed in the foundations of the building.

A site visit and photo opportunity on April 1st was supported by Cllr Joel Williams and Ann Tudor, chair of Scilly Arts & Heritage trustees.
