New framework in place

On the east side of the Town Hall, work progresses with the erection of the glulam framework that will support the roof of the new café. Glulam (glued laminated timber) is an engineered wood product made by bonding together multiple layers of dimensioned, strength-graded timber with structural adhesive to create larger, stronger, and more stable structural components like beams and columns.

When the building is finished, they will remain exposed and be a striking feature inside the café.
